I went into “Only the Brave” (2017) pretty blind. I think I saw one trailer, but seeing the actors starring in the film (Josh Brolin, Jeff Bridges, Miles Teller, Taylor Kitsch, Jennifer Connelly) along with knowing “it’s about smoke jumpers,” I was already hooked.
Something about the ’80’s/’90s Mexican and Colombian drug scene really appeals to me, so I was excited for “American Made” (2017). Then after watching the excellent Netflix series “Narcos,” I kind of expected to be disappointed by “American Made,” but I actually enjoyed it!
