Fall TV 2013: ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and 7 other shows worth checking out (Commentary)
Well, that came upon us in a hurry. Perhaps because there aren’t any major new shows to get excited about, the Fall 2013 TV season snuck up on me rather quickly this year. But while this is the thinnest lineup of new network shows (and returning shows for that matter, after last season’s cancellation spree)
‘The Mindy Project’ is now better than ‘New Girl’ (TV commentary)
I suppose I’ll be the first person to say this, but: “The Mindy Project” is better than “New Girl.” It has been since about January, and Tuesday’s season finale was yet another indication that Mindy and the boys have surpassed Jess and the boys in the laugh category.

Fall TV 2012: 5 new shows and 5 returning shows to watch (Commentary)
Ah, fall TV. And, in a nice old-school twist, the Entertainment Weekly Fall TV Preview issue highlighted a single show on its cover rather than using a collage (the featured show: “Homeland,” which seems worthy, although I’ve never seen it).
